I will say that we could not have had a better experience with a Realtor. From the initial meeting to closing day, Keith had our best interests in mind. When we first sat down with Keith to explain what we were looking for, I don’t think Kelly and I really knew what kind of house or where we wanted to live. Keith took our temperature in what we really wanted and needed in a home and set up a very good search on the Realty Austin website.

We had some obstacles in getting pre-approved, but Keith pointed us in the right direction. As we worked on pre-approval Keith took a step back but still checked in every now and then to see how it was coming along. After about 3 to 4 months we were all set to start shopping for a new home. Keith made sure every house we looked at were homes that we favored and he included some that he felt fit what we were looking for.

We didn’t expect to buy a home as fast as we did. But with Keith’s help we found a perfect place for us and we felt comfortable with the whole process to move forward. As much help that Keith provided in the search of a new home, I felt Keith was most valuable in the steps leading to close. He was in constant communication with the builder and our lender. He made recommendations on inspectors and what we should be looking for, and he was there to help point out any issues that should be addressed by the builder before close.

At the end of the day it was the personal touch that Keith provided that made this process easy for us. This was a new experience for our family and there was some apprehension, but with Keith by our side it really helped put our mind at ease.

I would recommend Keith to anyone we know that is in need of a Realtor, and actually have already passed his information along.

Not only was Keith of great professional assistance in our home search, he was someone we grew to trust and respect as a friend as well. We kept in contact with Keith during the time we were in Texas and, as a result, when it came time for us to sell our home and return to Arizona, the first number we called was Keith’s. It was a joy working with Keith Baker. I selected Keith because he had earned my trust in his previous line of work. I also liked the fact that he lives in my neighborhood. I never considered anyone else when I began my search for a modest house to rent to my daughter and son-in-law.

He respected my modest budget and I felt that he was very supportive and transparent during the entire process. I complicated the process for him with my financing (using a home equity loan to purchase the new house) choice. Once I contacted him there was what seemed like a very long waiting period before my loan was finalized. He patiently checked with me and UFCU on a regular (but not obnoxious) basis . While we waited to be in a position to begin our search and make offers, I went to as many open houses as I could just to get a feel for what was out there in my price range. As it turned out I discovered the “perfect” property just as the loan approval was being finalized. At that point Keith set everything in motion. I made an offer and the sellers countered with a slightly higher amount. I declined their counter offer and Keith respected my choice to hold firm to my upper limit. To my surprise, the sellers did accept my offer and the rest of the process went smoothly. Keith did an excellent job of explaining every step of the process to me and calming my anxiety at taking this huge step.

I feel very satisfied that Keith did all he could to represent my best interests. In addition he is just a nice pleasant person and he is very easy work with. (I came across a couple of very weird realtors in my open house visits!).

It was a pleasure working with Keith and I would definitely recommend him to others.

Keith came strongly recommended by a friend and she was right. Keith you were a real help in our search for a new house in Austin. We know we’re not the easiest clients: limited budget, not knowing Austin and the different neighborhoods, close to daycare and work downtown, big garden, far from the train noise, hesitating between an apartment in Soco or a house in a calm neighborhood.

Keith kept patient and informed us with several options. He also was always in time at our multiple appointments. When we could not make it in person he even filmed the property for us and sent us the links. When I thought about selling my house it was an overwhelming idea and I didn’t know how long the process would take. We needed to find a house to rent in South Austin so we could move from North Carolina. Once we had our closing date for our NC home, we immediately began our search in Austin and one of the properties we were interested in online was listed by Keith. As is often the case in Austin, that property was no longer available but Keith quickly put together a search report for us based on all of our criteria, contacted the other realtors to set up appointments for our daughter, who already lived in Austin, to check out the properties, and helped us complete and submit all the appropriate paperwork in time to secure a good landing spot for us.

While other realtors could have offered to do the same for us, they didn’t.
